En Primeur : When a wine is purchased 'En Primeur' the purchaser buys the right to receive the specific number of cases when the wine is released by the chateau. Release and shipment of the wines normally takes place two and a half years after the vintage and at that stage purchasers will be contacted for their instructions as to delivery or storage of the wines they have purchased.

In our opinion this is one of the wines of the vintage. A superb effort from Mr Xavier Borie and a definite one for the shopping list. Dense black fruits, very pure aromas and quite stylish. (MFW 92-94) |

Unfortunately we could not taste this wine when we re visited their proerty, but our consultant David Peppercorn MW reliably inform us that this is a very fine wine and one of the best 1st growths of the vintage. (MFW93-95) |
