En Primeur : When a wine is purchased 'En Primeur' the purchaser buys the right to receive the specific number of cases when the wine is released by the Chateau. Release and shipment of the wines normally takes place two and a half years after the vintage and at that stage purchasers will be contacted for their instructions as to delivery or storage of the wines they have purchased.

Tasted at 9.00am in the morning, gave us all a beautiful fillip to the days tasting. Medium bodied but with firm tannins. It did have a slightly woody flavour on the after-taste but this should dissapear over time, and the quality of this wine should certainly improve over the next decade or so. (MFW 91-93)(RP 92-94) |

This is a most remarkable wine with tannin levels of 99 and 14.5% alcohol. This is mind blowing. However, as puriest of fine Bordeaux this wine does not fit in and could be produced anywhere in the world. Massive nose, huge concentration and power that dominates right to the end. Difficult to give a MFW rating, but with a question (MFW 93-96?)(RP98-100) |
