En Primeur : When a wine is purchased 'En Primeur' the purchaser buys the right to receive the specific number of cases when the wine is released by the Chateau. Release and shipment of the wines normally takes place two and a half years after the vintage and at that stage purchasers will be contacted for their instructions as to delivery or storage of the wines they have purchased.

Tasted at Ch. Lafite Rothschild on a bright sunny day on 12th April surrounded by beautiful vines (and the occassional crane!). This is a very serious wine. Fine tannins, with layers of rich ripe fruits that lingers in the mouth. (MFW 93 -95)(RP94-96) |

80% Cabernet Sauvignon 18% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Medium bodied with firm tannins, great purity and freshness on the palate. This is one of the best GPL that we have tasted for many years and is a credit to the tenacity of its owner Francois Xavier Borie, who since taking over the property has consistanly made good wines.
