| Looking After Your Investment
If you wish, you can take delivery of your wine at
home, subject to payment of duty and VAT. We would,
however, recommend that we arrange for your wine to
be stored in a UK Customs controlled bonded warehouse.
For the modest cost of approximately 0.7% pa of your
investment, including insurance at replacement value,
you are offered the following advantages:
- Your wines will be registered in your own name and
personal account number at a UK bonded warehouse.
- Storage in bond ensures that your wine is stored
in optimum conditions, allowing it to mature properly
and provide you with the highest possible appreciation
in value.
- If you keep or sell your wine in a bonded warehouse,
neither you nor potential purchasers will have to
pay VAT or duty. These charges only arise if the wine
is cleared from the bonded warehouse.
Note: The storage charge is the only recurring cost
of owning a portfolio of fine wines.
